Things to Do in Seville: Sights, Experiences & Places You Can’t Miss

Seville is the kind of city that pulls you in almost instantly, all grand Moorish palaces, orange-tree-lined streets, colourful tiled courtyards and lively plazas that seem to get better as the sun goes down. Whether you’re here to explore the Real Alcázar, climb the Giralda, wander through Barrio Santa Cruz, experience authentic flamenco or simply spend an evening hopping between tapas bars, there’s plenty to fill a few days. This guide brings together the best things to see and do in Seville, from the city’s must-see landmarks to neighbourhoods, experiences and a few spots worth slowing down for.

Things to do in Seville
There’s so much to experience in Seville beyond simply wandering its beautiful streets. From stepping inside the magnificent Real Alcázar and climbing the Giralda to watching an atmospheric flamenco performance or cruising along the Guadalquivir, the right experiences can really bring the city to life. I’ve pulled together some of the best-rated tours, tickets and activities below through GetYourGuide, making it easy to discover what’s available and book ahead, especially for Seville’s most popular sights.
TRIP TIP: Seville comes alive after dark, especially in the warmer months. As the heat fades, terraces fill, plazas buzz and locals stay out late so save some energy for the evening.

Seville at a Glance
Seville is wonderfully walkable, with many of its biggest sights clustered around the historic centre. The Cathedral, Giralda and Real Alcázar sit within minutes of each other, while Plaza de España and Parque de María Luisa are an easy walk south. Cross the Guadalquivir and you’ll reach Triana, one of my favourite areas for soaking up the city’s more local side.

TRIP TIP: Seville is best explored on foot, especially around the historic centre. With narrow streets, pedestrian areas and traffic, taxis can sometimes take longer than walking, so check the distance before you hop in

Seville is a city that rewards taking your time. See the landmarks, but leave space to wander through hidden streets, linger over tapas and experience the city as it comes alive in the evening. Whether you’re here for its history, architecture, food or flamenco, Seville has a way of making even a short visit feel full of memorable moments, and there’s always something left to come back for.
